Fears!!!

While I was taking my morning walk at about 9am yesterday – Saturday, I saw a bird on my route,It was very dark and looks scary. When I saw the bird, I instantly became scared, and I changed the lane so I could avoid it. I was extremely afraid. Merely looking at the bird, I knew it wouldn’t harm me, but I was terrified.

On way back, I was conscious of the same bird but it already left the spot. Immediately, I had a self reflection and then laughed at myself. I asked myself, “Why were you scared?” Then the Holy Spirit began to talk to me about what had just happened, He wanted me to learn a lesson.

The Holy Spirit taught me another lesson about faith. He made me to understand why most people get stuck in life because of fear. In your journey right now, are you afraid of something? What looks like a mountain on your path?
Fear is just an emotion that can be overwhelming. It’s a false evidence appearing real. Just like what happened to me, I was afraid but it was not real. Fear distracts us from doing what we want to get done, It wastes time.

Just imagine if there was no other route for me, I would have been stuck on a road for few minutes or probably turned back home, and that would been a waste of time/end of my walkout goal. The bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7, that the Lord has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. So what is that thing that scares you? What is that noise in you and around you that is stopping you from moving forward?

This experience taught me three major principles. As you go through this week and this year, use these principles to guide your life: – Success responds to momentum: People remain stagnant for life because of challenges and what seems like a mountain. Don’t stay stagnant. Move on and keep your momentum. – Don’t avoid your fears, face it. Understand why you are afraid and do what you are afraid of. Don’t try to avoid it. Don’t waste your time. Your time is your life, it is very precious.- Go for it: Move forward and move into your greatness. Don’t turn back because of what you see.

You can do everything through Christ that strengthens you!

EXCUSES

The difference between who you are and who God has called you to be is fear. Fear is just a picture you have in your heart/ mind that looks real but it’s not real, it’s fake (Fear of the future, fear of the unknown). If you know who are in Christ Jesus then fear will have nothing on you, the Bible says “they that know their God they shall be strong and do exploits”.

Let’s look at the story of Moses, he was scared when he encountered God, he was already giving God excuses why he can’t go to pharaoh and rescue the Israelites, his speech wasn’t good and all , he was focusing on his weaknesses forgetting that He that has called him is his strength.
So,

  1. what excuses are you giving God?
  2. Do you know who you are in Christ Jesus ? Moses told God who am I to go to pharaoh? Exodus 3 and 4
  3. What is your fear? If God has has given you an instruction or vision then why are you scared? Psalm62:11.
  4. Do you know that that thing you consider your weakness is what the devil wants to dwell on? Do you know that the light of God shines on your weakness anytime you pray ( Isaiah 60:1).
So what excuses are you giving God? Are you doubting yourself? Are you in doubt who you truly are in Christ Jesus?
See yourself the way God sees you and bruise Satan by the head, If you are not useful to God He won’t invest in you, if you are not relevant in His agenda He won’t invest in you..
Know who you are in Christ, do what he has called you to do diligently and do exploits…
Let go of FEAR & PURSUE!!!

Self discovery Moment!!!

I had a revelation this morning and while mediating on it, I became really scared of myself (Not in a bad way). A lot of things are now making sense to me.

The Holy Spirit ministered to me that I’m on a journey of self discovery. This is really an interesting journey for me and Glory to God. We are all on a journey of self discovery because God’s dream is in phases. The picture God has given you might not make sense at first but over time it will make sense. You may not understand that dream/revelation now but I tell you over time it will make sense. Every revelation/dream is pointing towards a moment in your future (1 Corinthians 13:9-12).

The battles, the pains, the joy, the process, the offense, the friendship, the betrayal and everything you might have been through or still going through is pointing to something in your future. Before, it was not making sense to me but now, a lot of things are making sense to me…Lol.

Once the Holy Spirit reveals who you are to you, you will be so amazed at who you are and what God will do through you…

So the process you are going through right now will make sense soon. You may not understand but I beg you keep digging with God because there are treasures in your process. You will need your present experiences and lessons for that place God is taking you. God is building you for something big and please take note of the things you are seeing/going through because they are pointing to YOU – Your Destiny!

YOU ARE FEARLESS !!!
YOU ARE POWERFUL!!!
YOU ARE EXTRAORDINARY!!!

HOW MUCH!!!

My fiancé gave me some flowers and balloons as an act of love, the flowers looked so beautiful and the choice of colors for the balloons was awesome, I loved them. That day, I got a new flower vase and I put my new flowers into it, and then added water. After a few days, the helium in the balloons started to deflate, they were not floating anymore, and they later dropped to the floor and the only way I could keep them floating is by taking them back to the store to inflate them again.

At this point, the Holy Spirit began to minister to me that as believers and disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, how much of the Holy spirit do we have in us? I think this a question for us to reflect on, right? Are you also deflating like the balloons? Do you go back to Him to recharge daily? How much of God do you have in you to live a victorious life, to deal with temptations in this chaotic world? How much of God’s word do you have in you? The bible says in Isaiah 40:8 that the grass withers and the flowers fall but the word of our God endures forever. Also in Psalm 119:11, it says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”

The balloons needed air and the flowers needed water to survive a few days so how much more Man who was created in God’s likeness and image? How much do we depend on Him to survive? God loves us so much that He gave us beautiful life. He gave us His son and redeemed us from all destructions. His love is ultimate and beautiful, His love endures forever. His love does not die.

Friends, please plug yourself with the Holy Spirit so He can make you fully inflated and stay soaked in Him. He will guide you into all truth if you give yourself to the word, pray and stay away from every appearance of sin, so you do not die like the flowers – I mean spiritual death. Get yourself filled with the Holy Ghost!

Remain blessed!
